Why we do it this way
Why we built this company.
I started doing IT in Reno as the person small businesses called when something broke — a printer jammed, the network dropped, a server died on a Friday afternoon. I’d show up, fix it, and three weeks later I’d get the same call again for something else.
What I noticed is that the businesses growing fastest weren’t the ones with the most expensive technology. They were the ones whose IT just worked — quietly, every day. The owner could walk in on Monday morning and not think about it.
So I built IT Guy Reno around one idea: the work is calm IT, not heroic IT. We pick up the phone. We take ownership of the problem. We tell you the truth about what we see. We show up when we say we will.

We tell the truth
We don’t say “remediate” when the word is “fix.” If we can’t explain what we’re doing in a single sentence, we shouldn’t be charging you for it.

We write it down
The proposal is in writing. The work scope is in writing. The recurring number is in writing. You shouldn’t have to guess what your IT is going to cost next month or whether a new server is going to be an emergency expense.

We take ownership
“Everything looks good on my end” is not how we close a ticket. The problem is closed when it’s actually fixed and you’ve confirmed it.

Who picks up when you call?
We’re a small, named team based in Reno. When you hire us, you get a dedicated lead engineer on your account and a backup who already knows your network — so coverage doesn’t fall apart when one person is on a call or out of town.
We don’t subcontract overseas. We don’t route after-hours coverage to a national help desk. The person you talked to last month is the person who picks up next month.

We live here. The whole team lives here. We work with businesses in midtown, downtown, Sparks, Carson City, and the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center. We’ve wired enough Reno buildings to know which ones have thick walls, which neighborhoods get unreliable internet service, and which industrial spaces need a different kind of WiFi than the spec sheet says.
