Meet the team

Real people, right here in Reno.

No call centers, no offshoring, and no contractors you’ve never met. Every person on our team works in northern Nevada and walks through the same office doors week after week.

Trey Mitchell

Owner & Principal Engineer

I started IT Guy Reno because I wanted to build the kind of IT partner I would hire myself if I were sitting on the other side of the desk. I wanted a company that picks up the phone, takes ownership of the problem, and refuses to bury the bad news.

I’ve been doing IT in Reno for years. The goal has always been calm, predictable support — and a team that can deliver it whether I’m on a call, on-site, or out of town. You’ll know everyone on your account.

How we build the team

Local, technical, and human.

We hire people who live here, who can hold a real conversation about what they’re seeing on your network, and who will follow through on a problem until it’s actually fixed.

Most of our hires come from within the Reno tech community—people who’ve been on the receiving end of bad IT and want to do the work differently. We don’t hire from a contracting agency, and we don’t subcontract to another company for after-hours coverage.

If you work with us, you know exactly who is coming through your door.

Open positions

Work with us.

We’re always looking to meet good people. If you live in northern Nevada and want to do calm, careful IT work for small businesses without the burnout of a typical MSP, send a note to careers@itguyreno.com and we’ll keep your information for the next opening.
